My husband and I like rodeos and these paintings were inspired from the Darrington Rodeo in Washington State. The originals were painted on 8”x10” gator board.

Oil sticks are like a fat crayon only made with real oil paint. Paint brushes aren’t needed to use them, nor is thinner.

They are great for travel to do plein air painting. Because of their intense color and relative fast drying time (about 24 hours) they are fun to paint with and I use just my fingers to get some nice affects.
